It is always nice to be able to count on good fun and lots of smiles when reading the forums when new expansion is advertised.
For me this expansion looks like a good one even if it is a bit thin. It is a good one for me because I am skilled in mission running, marketing and mining among other things and like to get new industrial ship to play with. Medals and more help young players in understanding how to navigate through the skills forest in EVE so that is good idea and might make life more easy for new players, would have helped me a lot when I started almost three years back.
I am happy to get rid of ghost training from this game. I never liked that ppl could quit game and still go on training without doing anything, not even have to log on, not fair to us the players that log on most days because we like the game, not only to get skills but to interact with the fine ppl in here and just have good fun playing the game. There are so many helpful pilot in EVE in the various chat rooms that most players can ask whatever they want to know and get answer ingame on almost any topic.
I have never looked at EVE as a way for CCP to create utopia of all MMO's where all is fair and good and all are happy, hmmm,.... does not sound like what EVE has told us it is going for and I do like challance, new changes, even some nerfes do make me want to find out how I can use it to become better at things, not to whine about it and complain.
To be fair I think that this nano mandnes was destroying the pvp part of the game. It made it foolish to go out there for average pilot trying to fight ships that usually could not be locked or hit but could stop you cold while some other pilot in sniper ship could pick you off, no fun for medium pvp players like me, but that is just my opinion.
But maybe I am too simpleminded and do not understand that you the hardcore ghost training players feel being tread upon and maybe I should just join you in the complaining department.
For me EVE was a revelation and huge adventure when I started playing it and now after almost three year it is hugely fun to play and my main hobby. I love playing EVE (not ghost training) and will keep on playing it hopefully for many years to come.
